Senior Software Engineer

My Philosophy

I am a Senior Software Engineer focused on solving difficult problems and delivering the whole solution to production.

I don't just write code; I design systems that businesses run on. I believe that technical decisions must always serve business goals. Complexity is the enemy, and simple, robust systems are the hallmark of seniority.

My mission is to bring solid engineering practice to growing companies, so their products keep working as they scale.

Core Tenets

Simplicity, Reliability, and Value. If it doesn't drive value, we don't build it. If it's not reliable, it's not done.

Focus Areas

Technical Strategy

Long-term vision over short-term hacks.

System Design

Scalable, maintainable, and observable architectures.

Mentorship

Elevating the team's capabilities.

Education

Degree in Computer Engineering

Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC)

Journey

Nine years of engineering, from mobile to production AI

2025-Current

Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Full-stack delivery at an AI-driven revenue planning SaaS, from the event-driven backend to the agent tooling built on top of it.

  • Write safety for agents on Amazon Bedrock: bounding what a tool call is allowed to mutate, and gating the rest behind explicit approval.
  • Tool calling routed through the same domain services the product uses, so agents inherit the existing validation instead of working around it.
  • An eval harness that replays a fixed set of cases on every prompt or tool change, with token and cost tracking per run.
  • MCP servers that expose internal schemas and conventions to the team's editors as structured context.
  • Event-driven services in .NET 10 and Kafka, plus ETL from Salesforce and HubSpot into Snowflake.
2023-Current

Independent Software Engineer

End-to-end delivery for companies that need a complex problem solved and shipped.

  • Multi-cloud environments on Azure and AWS defined as code, with isolated dev, staging and production.
  • 30+ CI/CD pipelines using blue/green and canary rollouts.
  • .NET microservices handling 15k+ messages/min over event-driven queues.
  • Automated security scanning and centralised secret management, following OWASP Top 10 guidelines.
2020-2025

Senior Software Engineer & Cloud Lead at FXStreet

Modernisation of a high-traffic financial news platform, from legacy monoliths to a cloud-native architecture on Azure.

  • Migration of core services to Azure Kubernetes Service, deployed through Azure DevOps.
  • Multi-region architecture that cut latency for global users while reducing monthly cloud spend.
  • Distributed caching and refactoring of .NET Core bottlenecks to bring down memory load and response times.
  • New Relic monitoring standards and on-call rotations, plus the migration of the mobile app from Xamarin to React Native.
2017-2020

Software Engineer

Building the foundations. Backend, mobile, and web development.

Got a problem in this territory?

Nine years of engineering on systems where downtime and wrong writes have a cost.
